I applied to do a ‘short program’ at sonada university near Osaka through my uni and Ive been selected to do an interview!  Im very very happy

I really want to go, it would mean spending 5 weeks in a japanese university and living with a host family.  Which would be a great experience!

Now just have to pray and prepare a short speech in Japanese…..

I really need to get a life…..

Okay, yep, I know ppl say this all the time, but really, even I think Im boring!  I need a boyfriend.  Havent  had one in nearly 5 years, but that’s besides the point.  (5 years, not that bad, I hear you say?  Im freaking 22!)

getting sidetracked.

Why I need a life – watching Dr Phil today (yep, that explains it…..) and todays episode was part 9 of a series about a really really rocky marriage.  But then Dr Phil starts talking about self forgivness, and Im like – Damn, I need to tape this – I could quote this stuff in a RuroKen fanfic!  Score!

Man, its pathetic when you can relate almost everything back to anime/manga…….  But I suppose its better than my old star trek obsession.  And Im not dissin’ trek here – I still love it.  But what was I thinking being in love with Wil Wheaton –  ohhhh, I just found out he was a voice in brother bear…….. hmmmmm

GAK!  AnimeNfo says that kenshin is 158cm……  man thats short. and like 48kg.

okay, enough craziness for now……

Im tired and grumpy, and really really p’oed, so henceforth, I shalt rant.

Consider yourself warned.

Todays object at which forth we shalt direct thy anger – coles shopping bags.

I swear, these are the bane of my exsistance (at least right now anyway).  Why?  I hear you ask?  Well, my friend, let me explain.  Contray to the popular belief of the sheep that seem to be populating brisbane at this time – they are not a fasion accessory.  They do not convey status.  They are not a substitue for a handbag.  They are a shopping bag.  But yet this does not seem to stop every man and his erstwhile dog from toting them around as if they were.

Please dont get me wrong, kudos to cole and the other big supermarkets for the ‘go green’ idea.  Frankly australia has a big problem of shopping bags.  And if I was doing the shopping I would have been using enviromentally friendly bags years ago.  And if I was doing the shopping now, I would be using these.  Infact I am thinking of investing in a few before I return to japan to use for shopping there – they are handy, they are a good size, they can be slung over the sholder – but there’s no way in hell I would be using them as an everyday carry bag.

I dont know how people got the idea that they are ideal carry bags – I see them used that way more often than as shopping bags.  Thats why we have bag shops – to buy all kinds of bags.  I believe there is a bag for every purpose.  (I also like to go bag shopping….)  But even then – I would go for the japanese idea over the coles bag – using a paper bag from a store – at least these convay status to some extent – your not just using some bag from the grocery shopping – you went to a store and actually bought something! ohh…  ah….

end rant.  out of steam.

hats are really groovy, you wear them on your head…

this is a wiggles song.  serious……

22 08 2004

surfing, reading, downloading music and generally shirking off on study.  But weekends should be relaxing, ne?

If you wanna know what is floating my boat musically – go download In the Shadows by Rasmus, and This Love by Maroon 5.  I think its because both songs have this funky oh-oh-oh-o sort of singing.  just go and listen to them ok

Lots of work lately, which equals lots of money to pay my credit card off.  Not to mention mum’s b’day and fathers day is coming up.

webpage is moving very very slowly.

Feng shui mate, feng shui…..

A new day, a new start.

I’m quite proud of myself, cause I seem to have ‘gotten my finger out’ and had what I like to think as 2 very sucessful days.  A few decisions were made this last week – the main one being that I turned down a job offer at another cafe.

Im still looking (abeit half-heartedly) for a new job, but what is the point of taking one in a cafe if I want to get out of hospitality?  So, I spoke to my manager at the cafe I currently work at and she agreed that I can get at least 2 shifts a week – so that I can save up to go to japan in jan

But what made the last two days sucessful is that I achieved everything I set out to do.  Mind you, I do find it a pain in the arse to plan out my day ahead to the half hours, but whatever works ne?

So why am I writing here?? Well, one of my goals for this half of the year is to create a kick-arse webpage,  and having a blog is part of that plan.  And frankly, diaryland isnt very versitile.

The old one is there – http://michelelisa.diaryland.com

the new one is here!  Here’s to sticking with new beginnings! KAMPAI!
