saw constantine today.  also realized I cant say that word…  another to add to the list…

NEway, loved the movie, although, while watching it, I was thinking, man, I feel sorry for the ppl who dont believe that this is real.  it is, it just doesnt happen with all the special effect.  there is a war on, between heaven and hell. just because we cant see most of it, doesnt make it any less real.  you cant see the wind, but you can feel it.

mind you, i got a real kick out of how similar constantine is to wolfwood from trigun.  both run around in black suits with white shirts, chain smoke and are related to the church somehow…

i think my next shrine of the moment with be wolfwood…..  he’s so cool, got this whole bad boy thing happening….  neway, that’s off topic…

15 03 2005

i’ve had some weird dreams lately.  me just having dreams is a weird occurance (or at least I’d like to think so…  ppl are probably right when they say that I probably only dont remember my dreams, but anyway..)

yeah, so 2 in particular are intresting.  first one, I kept being caught by speed cameras.  second one, I had really scratchy eyes.  the problem is, well, they could have been in real life, but I cant seem to recall it happening, so I’m hoping its not.

now, I dont really take much stock in people trying to interpret dreams, but they can be messages sometimes, and I think in this case, my sub-conscious is trying to tell me something.  Its like my fears and anxieties are being represented graphically.

as for scratchy eyes, well, I know its because I’ve been wearing more makeup.  suppose I need to get some proper makeup remover.  neway.

as for speeding, I think my mind is telling me I need to slow down.  life has been far too busy, and my priorities are skewed. it needs to be – 1. God, 2. Family and friends, 3. study, 4. work.

at the moment, its all like work work work.  blah.  I know i need money before i go away, but i’m so tired and worn out that when Im not working Im sleeping…

maybe I also need to exercise more, but I already need more hours in the day.  I think its back to basics for me…

well, gotta pass on the good news ^-^

remember the song “Baby’s got back”, aka the big butt song?  well, someone has done a christian spoof of the song, called “baby’s got book”, you can download the windows media player version here – http://www.public.asu.edu/~tiantang/share/babygotbook.wmv

its pretty funny!  got lyrics like

I like big Bibles I can not lie,
You Christian brothers can’t deny,
When a girl walks in with a KJV*
And a bookmark in proverbs, You get stoked.

It got a name in place,
you know this girl has been saved
It looks like one of those large ones,
With plenty of space in the margins,
Oh baby, I want to read it with you,
Because your Bible has got pictures,
My minister tried to consult me,
But the book you’ve got makes me so Holy.”

 just go download it 🙂

dinner yesterday went really well!  Try my chilli recipie!

13 03 2005

Yesterday Laura hosted a murder mystery.  It was lots of fun   and Im glad to say that I was almost the murderer (sp?) I certainly had a hand in it

today I cooked dinner.  will be serving it in about 20 minutes.  I made chilli, so here’s the recipie for michele’s sunday chilli –

Ingredients –

500g mince meat

1 onion

1 tbsp chilli powder

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp coriander

Olive oil (to taste)

1 capsicum (red or green)

1 tbsp tomato paste

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Tabasco sauce (to taste)

1/2 cloves garlic

1 can tomato sauce or tomatoes

1 can kidney beans

Method –

Warm olive oil with crushed garlic, chilli powder and coriander in a saucepan.

Brown chopped onion followed by mince in saucepan.

Once browned, add tomato sauce, drained beans, diced capsicum, cocoa powder,  and tomato paste.

Add salt, pepper and Tabasco to taste.  If needed, more chilli powder.

Bring to the boil and then simmer for 20 or 30 minutes.

Serve hot with bread or rice and salad.

gotta go and make the bread, well, prepare it.  hopefully it will be very very yummy

I like cooking, in fact, recipie books are one of the two best pressies anyone can get me, absolutly love them.  thou it was fun making my own

i lead such a sinful life.  sigh…  but lets not dwell on that.

well, speaking of faults – materialism…  i just bought an iPod.  his name is bob

I know it probably sounds like all I’ve been doing lately is shopping, and well, its true…  but its also justified.  The fact is i am going away for 3/4 months, I need to buy clothes, make-up etc.  I’ve needed to buy new clothes for about 2 years, its just I’ve never really done a big buy at one time.  and make-up, well, everything always runs out at once…  murphys law or something.

As for the other things…  I have actually been thinking on buying an iPod for a little, and going to japan again made me decide to buy it becuase how else am I going to transport my music collection? and I know what it’s like to live with out music you understand and can sing along to.  it just ended up happening earlier than I expected.  perfume, well, thats part of my one year plan.  I’ll talk about that another time…

on to other kinda related matters – Monday I did a fast.  and no, not to get thin, it was a ‘religious fast’ thank you very much.  its one of my aims for this year, to do a 21 day fast.  I went to a service earlier this year and the topic was fasting, and how by prayer and fasting you can break the hold of things in your life.  and I need breaking.

I have to admit that I have a really really bad addiction to reading fanfiction.  its not bad to read, but when i spend a quarter to a third of a day reading it, its rather distructive.  And try as I might, i have not been able to give it up.  So i decided that that would be my focus for my fast.  And I am pleased to say that I think its been successful.  Mainly because after working all day, looking at really really yummy food, and on top of that other temptations being shoved into my face, and having to say no – to food, everything else seemed to be insignificant.  resisting something that you actually need to live made me realise it isnt that hard to say no to something that really, you dont need.

I’m very happy about that.  very.

9 03 2005

well, its been a pretty busy week.

I actually went to the beach.  me.  beach.  you have no idea how, how, well, how unlike me that was.  I hate the beach, sand, sand, bad hair, etc.  but I acutally enjoyed  it on saturday.  we went in the afternoon, so it wasnt  so busy, and it wasnt hot becuase there was a good breeze.  well, acutally a little too windy, hard to swim…  but it was enjoyable none the less.

Oh and I saw emma and her partner and bub on sunday.  its so hard to believe she has a kid!  Im happy for her, but man, kid at 23.  I’m still looking for a steady bf.  ah well, it suits her well.

found a really cheap perfume store in brissy – http://www.perfumeconnection.com.au I brought my sui dreams real cheap.  Im very happy.  saved like 50%!

I have a kanji test tomorrow, so I have go study.  2nd week back and I have to study

phew.

i cant believe it.  some thing I said to myself I would complete before the end of last semester is finished.

thats right folks, I now have a working website.  check it out http://www.geocities.com/guardian_forever/

I am not 100% happy with it, but its a start.  I want a website that is more professional, but this will be fine for the moment.

and not a moment too soon either – just before I leave for my first day of this semester at uni.  wah.

27 02 2005

can you believe it.  I actually went to sexpo….

http://www.sexpo.com.au

it was intresting… but i probably wont go back again… I mean, there are some stalls there that are pretty unique, but most stuff is regular stuff you can get at any old sex store.

the big… um, ‘private parts’ (ppl dressed up in suits) that were walking around were just plain disturbing.

As for the male stripper.  he wasnt even funny.

bought a showbag, even mum and dad got a laugh out of it.  I now have fuzzy handcuffs

the thing I got the biggest kick out of was ‘mould you man’ that made me laugh! If i was a guy, I wouldnt know if I would be proud or mad….

22 02 2005

i find it amazing that good things all come at once.  really!

Monday I was offered a position as a research assistant at my university.  me..  RA..  hehe, I never thought it would happen!  the project is a colaboration between QUT, Brisbane city council and the CSIRO.  Its to do with daylighting and modeling, and would be worth about $8000 a year for me.  But it would be starting april/may.  so since I’ve taken the scholarship I really cant take the RA position.  Im a bit dissapointed, but Steve said that he will try to get them to pospone it for me til I come back in july.  lets hope!  its such a good opportunity for me!

saw a horror movie last nite and wasnt scaried.

drank 4 drinks in 40 minutes.  mum got mad at me. but wasnt drunk strangely enough.
