Catalyst is fast (if you can say that for something that only screens once a week) becoming one of my favorite tv shows.

Oh my gosh Im a geek…….

They’ve been playing a four part series called ‘Battle of the Brains’ (oh, look, the kids have colored labcoats!) Its an absolutely fascinating doco about the kids who are trying for the International Biology Olympiad. 

Whats really stuck me in the last episode to air here was that they girls that got thru are all very normal (well, except one, shes on the far left.).  Most of these people arn’t your cliche’ smart kids!  Sure, there were two in particular that were (child genius and the girl who rewrote parody tests with her bf for fun), but only one of them got thru. 

Its a really refreshing series that shows that all smart people arent all kooky.  And for that I like it
